Keith Tobas President, Broker, ABR, GRI Who is Keith Tobas? Keith was born in New York City, and spent most of his childhood between New York City and Trinidad. Going to school in his younger years in New York City and finishing High School in Trinidad, the call of the "Islands" is always there. From the Trinidad culture to the calling of the Ocean, Keith considers Trinidad "home". Keith's mother and father were restaurant owners in Trinidad where Keith spent a lot of his time helping his family to grow within the Trinidad economy, which is mostly a petroleum-based economy. Although his love for Trinidad is true to the heart and he considers it his "home" the City of New York that also calls his name. The city life is irreplaceable in regards to the "aggressive" lifestyle. If you have any kind of drive and potential in you, this City provides you the opportunity to be all you can be career-wise. At a young age, Keith joined the United States Army. His time in the service took him all over the world including Fort Jackson, SC, Fort McClellan, AL, Germany, Korea, California, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Fort Hood, Texas where Keith has resided for the past few years. Keith was in Germany throughout Desert Storm and played an integral part in the war on Iraq. | | | | | |

While stationed here at Fort Hood, Keith fell in love with the "Texas" way of life and with the area, so he decided to purchase his first home as a Veteran, and while this transaction transpired he instantly knew he had found his calling--Keith wanted to sell real estate. While still in the United States Army, Keith researched what it took to become a Realtor®. He then started taking all of the real estate courses, and as soon as his enlistment was completed, Keith hit the ground running and has not stopped since! Today, he is proud to share ownership of Elite Real Estate (independently owned and operated) with Charmaine Springett, his strong right hand. Keith's love for the business shows each and every day with the smile on his face and the passion he feels for "each and every" deal. “Once a client, ALWAYS a client!” is what he says ~ ALWAYS!

Accepting An Offer >Know Your Price Range
As a homebuyer, you may have found the perfect new house for your growing family, but what if it is a little out of your price range? You might list your current home for more than it is worth and be lucky enough to find a qualified buyer who is willing to pay the price, but it is impossible to know in advance what your home will sell for.
If you want to sell your home quickly, have a frank and detailed conversation with your real estate agent to determine the best price for the house. Setting your price within 5% of the fair market value of your home greatly increases your chances of getting solid offers that will result in a relatively quick sale.
Don't buy and sell so close to your target amount that you become anxious when the numbers don't meet your expectations. There may be other approaches, such as adjustable rate mortgages or owner financing, to increase your buying power and get you into that new home. When you are selling one home and buying another, you will need more than good luck. You will need a highly professional and experienced real estate agent who can give you solid advice on how to make the transaction work for your particular requirements.
